Ronald Robert Cosby, age 79, of Bruce, went home to be with the Lord after his long, but strong fight against Mesothelioma Cancer on Easter Sunday, April 17, 2022.  Memorial services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, April 22, 2022, at Brookings Christian Church with burial to follow in Greenwood Cemetery at Brookings.  Visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M. on Friday at the church.  Eidsness Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.  Ron's memorial service will be recorded and uploaded to his obituary page at www.eidsnessfuneralhome.com

Ron was born on October 7, 1942, in Oakland, California.  He grew up in Wessington Springs, SD, the only child of Violet "Peg" and Robert Cosby.  From a young age, Ron always had an artist's hand at auto body and repair and painting; a trait he made his living off of for several years.  Ron later in life returned to school and graduated with a Psychology Degree, a skill well practiced in any conversation we had with him.

Ron enjoyed filling his free time on any project he'd set his mind to, and as much as he enjoyed his time to himself, he always enjoyed time spent with family and friends.  He always made time for those he loved.

Survivors include his mother, Violet "Peg" Cosby-Olson; wife, Roberta Cosby; daughters, Stephani (Adam) Buchholtz and Tara Cosby; sons, Dana (Linda) Cosby and Jason Cosby; step-children, Matt (Naomi) Dommer, Mark (Marsha) Dommer, Anne (James) Folkers, and Jeanie (Cory) Wieger; as well as 27 grandchildren; and eight-great-grandchildren. Ron was preceded in death by his father, Robert Cosby.
