William Bill Gill, 61, of Eatontown, New Jersey, died Thursday, November 9, 2006 at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch, New Jersey. Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M. Thursday, November 16, 2006, at Eidsness Funeral Chapel in White, with interment following in Fairview Cemetery. Visitations will precede services, beginning at 9:30 A.M. In lieu of flowers, donations in Williams name may be made to Eatontown EMT/Police/Fire, 47 Broad Street, Eatontown, NJ, 07724. William Michael Gill was born in Brookings, South Dakota, and attended South Dakota State University, receiving a Bachelors Degree in Physics Engineering. He completed a Masters of Electronic Engineering from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, NJ, and worked for the Federal Government in Research and Development for 36 years. For approximately 30 of those years, Bill was an engineer at Fort Monmouth, NJ. He was a member of IEEE and former member of (AAAA), Army Avionics Association of America. Bill adored his family, loved a good cigar, loved to travel, go fishing, camping, cooking and was known for his gardening, Bill Gills Dills. He was a Rutgers University Football fan as well as a New York Giants fan. He was known for his great sense of humor and will be deeply missed by all of his family and friends. Survivors include his ex-spouses, Judith DeWald of Watertown, SD and Sandra D. Gill of Howell; four children, Daniel Gill of Cottage Grove, MN, Michael Gill of Washington D.C., Kristin Gill of Eatontown and Kevin Gill of Howell, and a grandson, Sean Gill of Cottage Grove, MN; brothers, Steven Gill of Peoria, IL, Lawrence Gill of Radcliff, KY, John Gill of Tacoma, WA and Patrick Gill of Brookings, SD; sisters, Mary Rowlands of San Jose, CA, Joellen Egeberg of Morton, IL and Judy Purvis of Volga, SD, as well as many nieces and nephews. Bill is predeceased by his brother James Gill of Brookings, SD and his parents, Kathryn Murphy Gill and William P. Gill of Brookings, SD
