Wendy Camp, age 47, of Brookings, South Dakota, died Tuesday, May 26, 2009, at the Brookings Hospital. Funeral mass will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, June 1, 2009, at St. Thomas More Catholic Parish in Brookings. Visitations will be from 5-8 P.M. Sunday at Eidsness Funeral Home in Brookings.
Wendy Suzanne (Booth) Camp was born November 1, 1961, at Moorhead, Minnesota, to Loren and Margie (Gensler) Booth. She grew up in the Fargo area and graduated from South Fargo High School. She worked at the Paddle Wheel and the Hillsboro Sugar Factory in Hillsboro, North Dakota, before moving to Brookings in December 1996 where she worked for Rainbow Play Systems.
Wendy enjoyed bowling, motorcycling, snorkeling, collecting elephants, going to the lake with her family, and traveling to exotic places with family and friends.
Survivors include her husband, Kim Camp, of Brookings; daughters, Trisha Hickey of Fargo and Jamie Hickey of Brookings; step-daughter, Stevie Camp, of Bagley, Minnesota; step-son, Justin Camp, of Bagley; mother and father, Margie and Jerry Ottesen, of Frazee, Minnesota; brothers, Loren Booth of Fargo, and Kim (Barb) Booth of Fargo; and numerous grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father; stepson, Brodie Camp; and grandparents.
