IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Tucker Berg
Hallan
September 16, 2010 – October 3, 2023
Tucker Berg Hallan, age 13, of Brookings, SD passed away at home on October 3rd from health-related issues. Funeral services will be 3 P.M. on Monday, October 9, 2023, at GracePoint Wesleyan Church in Brookings. Visitation will be from 1-3 P.M. also at the church. Eidsness Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Tucker was born in Mitchell, SD on Sept 16, 2010, at the Avera Queen of Peace Hospital in Mitchell, SD. He came into this world fiercely at 5 lbs. & 14 oz. He was a ball of fire, joy, and adventure throughout his short life.
Tucker was an endearing boy who had lots of love to give. He was a cherished 7th grade student at Mickelson Middle School.
Tucker dearly adored and loved his mother, Angel Hallan, his brother Gabriel "BoBo" Hallan, (he loved his big brother BoBo with every fiber of his being and looked up to him), Stepdad – Jeremy "Bubba" Becker, and his half-sisters that he cherished; Brooklynn, Ryann, Joplyn, and Makayla. Tuck loved to laugh and tell jokes. He loved his cats; Jynx, Belle, and El Tigre, their dog Ellie Mae who recently passed away, their new puppy MJ, his guppies, and grandbaby guppies. Tuck loved doing new things and was always down for an adventure. He enjoyed building with Legos, reading, bowling, the climbing wall at SDSU, shooting targets with his bb gun, learning and tinkering around on old cars with his "Old Man" friends, going to car shows, and all kinds of music including Elton John and The Beatles. In a blink he'd jump into the tall grass to gleefully collect grasshoppers, crickets, and worms. He had an amazing green-thumb, and loved planting seeds and growing flowers with his Mom. He also loved exploring nature, going fishing only to end up hunting for toads, 5 Nights At Freddy, Pokémon, Among Us, Ramen & Burger King, painting, drawing, hanging out with his friends and just being unapologetically himself. His favorite color was purple. He loved Halloween & watching scary movies just like his Mom. He also liked riding the 4 wheeler in the country with his Brookings County Youth Mentor family the Eggebrecht's, and going through the fields with his dog-friend, Cyrus. He was incredibly kind hearted and sensitive. He had a God given ability to interact with anybody, including adults. Tuck just loved being with people. Tucker had a smile that would make you happy, with a beautiful personality, and a magical way of stealing your heart.
At the age of five it was discovered that he had a Bicuspid aortic valve in his heart, and was told he couldn't play football. He was upset that he would never be a Green Bay Packer!
Two and 1/2 years ago he was diagnosed with Type-1 Diabetes. It was so much for him to deal with, but he was incredibly strong. Tuck was truly a warrior and will forever be his Mothers' hero. He will always have a Tucker sized place in the hearts of the people whom he touched, and who knew him best. Thank you for bringing your immense joy to our lives Tuck.
Tucker wouldn't want people dressing up for his viewing. He was most comfortable casual, and wearing a hoodie. Please feel free to come the same, if you'd like.
