Troy Vaske, age 49, of New Hope, MN, passed away Monday, March 23, 2020, from an apparent heart attack. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, July 31, 2020, at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Parish in Elkton, SD.   Troy will be buried next to his parents at the Elkton City Cemetery. A time of fellowship and lunch will take place at the Elkton Community Center following the burial.  Eidsness Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Troy Anthony Vaske was born June 14, 1970, in Brookings, SD, to Herbert and Mildred (Hegerfeld) Vaske. He was raised on the family farm near Elkton, SD, and graduated from Elkton High School in 1988. Troy attended Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall, MN, and later graduated from Mitchell Technical Institute with a Satellite Communications Degree.

Troy worked for KELO in Sioux Falls for a short time before moving to New Hope Minnesota in May of 1998. Since that time, Troy has been working as a Broadcast Engineer for ShopHQ in Eden Prairie, MN. Troy was an avid Minnesota Twins and Vikings fan. He loved technology and enjoyed working on his computer.

Survivors include his siblings; Scott Vaske of Wessington Springs, South Dakota, and Pam Hegerfeld of Spencer, Iowa; his aunts and uncles; and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.
