Travis D. Stuefen, age 23, of Elkton, died Saturday, August 27, 2016, near Ruthton, Minnesota, of injuries received in a motor vehicle accident. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 31, 2016, at the United Parish of Elkton, with interment in the Elkton City Cemetery. Visitations will be from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at Eidsness Funeral Chapel in Elkton.

Travis David Stuefen was born February 8, 1993, at Sioux Falls, South Dakota, to Thomas and Michelle (DeMarteleare) Stuefen. He attended school in Elkton, and was involved for two years in Destination Imagination. He attended Box Elder Job Corps for a year.

Travis enjoyed going for long walks and spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews, Devin, Amaya, Eric, Jayleigh, MacKenzie, Matthew, Jeremiah, Jericho, and Johanna.

Survivors include his parents, Tom and Michelle Stuefen, of Elkton; a brother, Eric Stuefen, of Elkton; two sisters: Pennie (Tom) Skime of Elkton, and Brittany (Joe) Clark of Elkton; grandmother, Betty DeMarteleare, of Sioux Falls; grandfather, Dale "Joker" Stuefen, of Elkton; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by a grandmother, Kathleen Stuefen; grandfather, Melvin DeMarteleare; and an aunt, Paula Stuefen.
