Susan Faye Miskimins, age 66, of rural Elkton, SD, passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2016, at the Brookings Hospital. No services are planned.

Susan was born November 26, 1949, to Fay and Lois Janes in Galesburg, Illinois. She worked at SDSU in the payroll department. She is a former member of the Order of The Eastern Star. She loved to work on crossword puzzles and had one published in the LA Times. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, camping, reading, and playing games with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Dale Miskimins, of Elkton; two sons: Charles (Pamela) Loose of Plainfield, Illinois, and Richard Loose of Spearfish, South Dakota; a daughter, Beth (Josh) Mills of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; five grandchildren; a sister, Jackie Niell, of Macomb, Illlinois; and her mother, Lois Janes, of Macomb, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her father, Fay Janes; a sister, Carolyn Janes; and a daughter, Katie Miskimins.
