Susan Lakes, age 17, of St. Louis, Missouri, died Monday, July 11, 2005, of injuries received in an automobile accident. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, July 18, 2005, at the First United Methodist Church in Brookings, with interment at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitations will be from noon until the time of service on Monday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Brookings Soccer Association, P.O. Box 447, Brookings, SD 57006. Susan was born February 8, 1988, at Brookings, South Dakota, to Christopher and Karen (Heesch) Lakes. She attended school in Brookings and moved to Kirkville, Missouri in August 2004.
