Funeral services for Shirley McKibben will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, May 16, 2011, at the United Methodist Church in White, with interment in Fairview Cemetery. Visitations will precede services at the church beginning at 12 noon. Shirley McKibben, 82 of Turlock, went home to be with The Lord she loved at her daughters' home after battling Congestive Heart Failure for over a year. Shirley was born to Rev. & Mrs. Harlow Arms in Egan, South Dakota in 1928. She attended and graduated from White High School in 1946 and was married to her sweetheart of two years, Donald McKibben in May of 1947. Shirley was a member of Monte Vista Chapel and the Turlock Covenant Church, as well as a member and past President of the Turlock Quilt Guild. Her greatest achievements are in the quilting realm. She other hobbies included Stained Glass & Knitting Machines. Shirley is survived by three daughters, Carolyn Quick and Teri McLaughlin of Denver Colorado and Susan Butcher of Turlock. She was blessed with eight grandchildren and seven grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Donald (March 2007), her parents, brother Milo, and sisters Thelma and Merlene.
