Shaun Lapolla, age 37, died Wednesday, April 7, 2004, at his home in Volga, South Dakota. Memorial services will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, April 13, 2004, at First Lutheran Church in Volga. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be directed to the First Lutheran Church Promise Fund. Shannon Eugene Shaun Lapolla was born August 11, 1966, at New London, Connecticut, to Jack and Kathy Lapolla. He graduated from high school in Pennsylvania and served for two years in the U.S. Army. On June 29, 1996, he married Tina Marie Anselm at the Chapel on the Hill in Brookings, South Dakota. The couple moved to South Dakota in August 2002, where Shaun worked for Prunty Construction, Larson Manufacturing, and Daktronics in Brookings. He enjoyed woodworking. Survivors include his wife, Tina, of Volga, South Dakota; a daughter, Amy, age two; his parents, Jack and Kathy Lapolla, of New Canaan, Connecticut; a brother, John, and a sister, Patricia, both of Norwalk, Connecticut.; his grandfather, Louis Lapolla, of Stamford, Connecticut; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Albert and Lorraine Molengraaf, of Volga; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins in Connecticut.
