Sharon Di Ann Jacobs, 80, of Volga, South Dakota, formally of Crookston, Minnesota, peacefully passed away on October 17, 2025 at Brookings Hospital surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born on October 25, 1944 to Estol (Pat) and Agnes Taylor in Crookston, Minnesota.

On November 7, 1964, Sharon married the love of her life, George Jacobs, in Fertile, Minnesota. Together they raised their family in Crookston, where Sharon created a warm and welcoming home filled with love and laughter.

Sharon enjoyed golfing, visiting casinos, and playing cards with friends. She also enjoyed running her in-home daycare, where she cared for many children who became like family. She had a love for cooking and treasured a good cookbook.

She is lovingly remembered by her husband, George Jacobs, of Volga, South Dakota, daughter and son-in-law, Jenny (Dennis) Sutton, of Brookings, South Dakota, son and daughter-in-law, Jeff (Brenda) Jacobs, of East Bethel, Minnesota, and granddaughter, Katie Sutton, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Pat and Agnes Taylor and brothers Bob and Ron Taylor.

A Memorial Visitation will be held at Eidsness Funeral Chapel, 217 Kasan Avenue, Volga, South Dakota 57071 on Saturday, November 15, 2025 from 1pm-3pm.

A private family burial will follow at St. Thomas More Catholic Cemetery.

Sharon will be remembered for her warm heart, love of family, and the joy she brought to everyone who knew her.
