Sharon K. Barnes started her journey to heaven on July 5th at her home in Brookings with her husband Duane by her side.

She was born in Doncaster, England 10 October 1962 to Gordon and Diana Lee.  Sharon was raised and educated in Doncaster and received her RN degree from Doncaster School of Nursing.

In 1988 she moved to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia to seek adventure and work at King Fisal Research Hospital.  While in Riyadh, she met her future husband Duane and moved with him to his next Air Force assignment at Tinker AF Base, Oklahoma where they were married at the base chapel 19 November 1988.

Sharon enjoyed her nursing career and being an Air Force wife.  During their 35 years of marriage, Sharon and Duane moved many times and made homes in Oklahoma City,  Gangelt Germany, Panama City, Fl., Brookings, Sioux Falls, Naples, FL., Salem, OR., and back to Brookings last July.

Sharon is survived by husband Duane and daughter Molly of Brookings and multiple cousins in England.  She was preceeded in death by her parents and brother Micheal.
