Scot P. Miskimins, age 67, of Aurora, SD, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Falls, SD, after a hard-fought battle with lung cancer. No services will be held per Scot’s wishes.

Scot Peter Miskimins was born on November 10, 1958, in Wessington Springs, SD, the son of Dr. R.S. and Betty (Krog) Miskimins. He grew up and attended Mitchell High School in Mitchell, SD, class of 1977. Following this, Scot attended Dakota Wesleyan University in Mitchell, SD, where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business. Scot worked with his dad and brothers over the years at the family ranch, ‘Miskimin’s Ranch’, working with cattle and a lifetime of hard work and dedication. Scot, towards the end of his career, worked at Rainbow Play Systems in Brookings, SD. He enjoyed spending dime with his dogs and as much time as he could on his Motorcycle. This also included making it out to Sturgis for the Sturgis Rally.

Scot is survived by his three brothers; Paul (Ellen) Miskimins of Mitchell, SD, Dale Miskimins of Elkton, SD and Jim (Jeanice) Miskimins of Mitchell, SD.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. R.S. and Betty (Krog) Miskimins, as well as his sister-in-law, Susan Miskimins (Dale's wife).
