Ryan J. Voeller, age 23, of Brookings, died Sunday, July 6, 2008, in Brookings. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, July 10, 2008, at the First United Methodist Church in Brookings, with interment in the Elkton City Cemetery, Elkton, South Dakota. Visitations will be from 4-8 P.M. Wednesday at Eidsness Funeral Home in Brookings, with a prayer service at 7:30 P.M. Ryan James Voeller was born August 23, 1984, at Brookings, South Dakota, to Leonard C. and Rita J. (Head) Voeller. He was confirmed at First United Methodist Church in Brookings. He attended schools in Brookings and had received his G.E.D. He had been employed at Twin City Fan and Blower for the past year. Ryan enjoyed outdoor activities including hunting, fishing, four wheeling, trapshooting, and working on cars and motorcycles. He especially enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews. Survivors include his parents, Leonard and Rita Voeller, of Elkton, South Dakota; three sisters: Mashelle (Shad) Mehrer of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Heather (Corey) Olsen of Hendricks, Minnesota, and Kayla (Keith) Cooper of White, South Dakota; six nieces and nephews: Taten and Tyler Mehrer, Austin and Elizabeth Olsen, and Kira and Hayden Cooper; his grandparents, Jerry and Leona Head of Forbes, North Dakota; and aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents and an uncle.
