Robert Weiss, 81, of Elkton, died Friday, August 29, 2003, at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Memorial services will be 1:30 P.M. Wednesday at Eidsness Funeral Home in Brookings. There will be no visitations. Robert O. Weiss was born September 21, 1921, near Badger, South Dakota, to Carl and Emma (Rosenau). He attended country school near Badger and Erwin. Robert farmed in the Erwin and Watertown area and was truly a lifelong farmer. Survivors include two sons: Carl Weiss of Elkton, South Dakota and Otto Weiss of Newsport, Virginia; a brother, Hank (Erna) Weiss of Springfield, Minnesota; and a sister, Freida Wilaby of Brookings. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Art and Ed; and a sister, Arlene.
