Ricky Steever, age 65 of Volga, passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2023.  Visitation will be from 2:00-4:00 PM on Saturday, November 4th at Eidsness Funeral Home in Brookings.

Ricky was born on April 25, 1958, to Teddy and Shirley (Hays) Steever.  He grew up in Brookings. Ricky later moved to Sioux Falls where he worked for the Tiger Corporation, Drake Equipment, and Woods Equipment Company.

Ricky moved to Vermillion in 2003, and began working on his Bachelor's Degree.  He graduated with honors in December of 2012.  In 2016, Ricky retired and moved to Volga where he lived until the time of his death.

Ricky enjoyed fishing, hunting, riding his motorcycle, and golfing.

Survivors include his daughter, Megan Steever of Sioux Falls; two grandchildren, Julian and Raylan; his mother, Shirley Steever of Volga; siblings, Linda Gerhardt of Volga and Larry Steever of Aurora; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
