Rebecca "Becky" Holter, 73, of Volga, passed away on February 14, 2024, at the Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls.  Visitation will be held Thursday, February 22, 2024 at the Eidsness Funeral Chapel in Volga from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m.  A prayer service will be held following the visitation beginning at 6:00 p.m.  Eidsness Funeral Home is assisting the Holter family with arrangements.

Rebecca Holter was born on July 31, 1950, in Volga, South Dakota to George and Verna (Strande) Albright.  Rebecca attended Sioux Valley schools in Volga, graduating from high school 1968.  Following graduation, Rebecca attended beauty school at Stewart School.  Throughout her younger years Rebecca worked various jobs, eventually finding a job with the Volga City office as a clerk, where she remained for over 25 years.  Rebecca also worked for the Gas Stop in Volga for a number of years part time.

Becky had a variety of interests throughout her life including horses, dancing with her husband Lloyd, and socializing with friends in the community.  She especially enjoyed camping with her family every weekend, particularly time spent at Okoboji, Iowa.  Camping also included time spent with the couple's friends the Woodburys.  While in Okoboji, the family often found themselves making memories together boating.  In her later years, she even enjoyed riding motorcycle with Lloyd.  Becky will be remembered as a kind and selfless person who constantly cared for others.  She cherished time spent with her family, especially her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Becky is survived by her loving husband of nearly 50 years, Lloyd Holter, of Volga; her children: Lee (Janelle) Holter, of Okoboji, IA, and Tim Holter, of Volga, SD; her grandchildren: Tatiana (Nelson) Holter, Teagan (fiancee Jessi Henter) Holter, Josie Holter, and Sadie Holter; her great-grandchildren; her sister, Tammy (Clark) Albright Burmeister; close friend, Lisa Ulvestad; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents and close friend Linda Johnson.
