Patsy attended White Hill Rural School in Gayville, SD as well as Highland Country School in Springfield, SD before graduating from Tyndall High School. Following high school, she attended South Dakota Beauty School to become a licensed beautician, something she kept doing until fully retiring from being a hairdresser early in her 70's.
It was at Tyndall, SD that she met Roland J. (Rollie) Nepodal and married him on June 7, 1953. She was married to Rollie until his death on March 24, 2005. She was the proud mom of two boys, Jerry (Debra) Nepodal of Lorton, Virginia and Paul (Denise) Nepodal of White, South Dakota as well as 4 granddaughters – Angela Warfield, Erin (Paul) Summers, Mattie and Megan Nepodal – and 5 great grandchildren – Paige Warfield, Lucas, Jacob, Joshua and Collin Summers.
Patsy was a mother at heart having spent many years not only caring for her children, but also several other kids throughout her life. Although her profession was as a beautician, she also loved to serve her church as a Sunday School teacher, helping with Vacation Bible School and as the wife of a school administrator, she also worked as a bus driver, school cook and teacher's aide. One of her favorite pastimes was to attend sporting events and concerts to watch all the kids play, but especially her 2 sons and granddaughters in later years. She was proud to say she had two sets of twins (Mattie/Megan and Josh/Collin) in her family. Patsy was a very active woman who loved to shop, play cards with friends, and visit with family and friends.
Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, Jake and Nellie, as well as her husband, Rollie. She is survived by her two sons and their families as well as many good friends.
