Obituary

Pamela J. Granum, age 60, of Volga, died Sunday, January 4, 2015, at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls. Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, January 8, 2015, at First Lutheran Church in Volga with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Visitations will be 5-7p.m. Wednesday at Eidsness Funeral Chapel in Volga. Pamela was born February 4, 1954, in Dell Rapids, SD, to Russell and Elsie (Dobson) Olson. She was baptized at the Trent Baptist Church. Pam graduated from Flandreau High School in 1972. On October 11, 1975, she married Ron Granum in Volga SD, where they owned and operated Granum Construction. Pam was confirmed at First Lutheran Church in Volga, where she was an active member. Pam enjoyed Crocheting, knitting, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was always a warm hearted person and lived life to the fullest. Survivors include her husband, Ron of Volga; daughter, Jody (Jeremy) Riemersma of Brookings; two close grandsons, Alex Waller of Volga and Cody Riemersma of Brookings; sister, Jacqueline (Richard) Moeller of Dell Rapids; sister-in-law, Dawn Olson of Berthoud, Colorado; mother-in-law, Arlene Granum of Volga, brothers-in-law, Gerald (Kathi) Granum of Lake Campbell and Rick (Dorothy) Granum of Brookings; sisters-in-law, Judy (Warren) Stokes of Bruce and Sally Roth of Bruce, and a host of other relatives and friends. Pam was preceded in death by her daughter, Melissa; parents; father-in-law, Sylvan; two nieces; one nephew, and two brothers, Stuart and James Olson.
