Obituary

Nona Marshall, 92, of Brookings, passed away on Saturday, June 19, 2021, at The Neighborhoods at Brookview.  A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 28, 2021, at the First Presbyterian Church in Brookings, beginning at 11 A.M.  There will be a time of visitation prior to the service at the church from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M..  Interment will immediately follow the service at Greenwood Cemetery in Brookings.  Following interment, there will be a time of fellowship and lunch served at Eidsness Funeral Home in Brookings at 12:30 P.M.  Eidsness Funeral Home is assisting the Marshall family with arrangements.

Nona Phyllis Marshall was born on April 7, 1929, in Alsen, South Dakota, to Roy and Helen (Larsen) Shogren.  She graduated from Centerville High School in 1947, and worked as a Teacher's Aid for over 20 years in the Brookings area.  On August 22, 1948, Nona was united in marriage to Stan Marshall in Centerville, South Daktoa.  Nona enjoyed reading throughout her life, and especially loved children.  She was a member of PEO, her church circle, and acted as a  church elder and deacon.

Nona is survived by her son, Michael Marshall; sister, Gloria Adamson; daughter-in-law, Tracie Marshall; son-in-law, Oran Sattler; her grandchildren: Clayton Sattler, Duncan Sattler, Alex Marshall, and Zachary Marshall, and her great-grandchildren: Teddy and Lulu Sattler.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Stan; son, Charles; daughter, Virginia; brother, Duane; and her parents.
