Nina Rebecca Wiggins, age 68, of Brookings, departed from the Neighborhoods in Brookview on Saturday, February 14th and is no longer with us. The arrangements will be handled byEidsness Funeral Home, there will be no formal services. Becky, as she preferred to be called, was born on October 25, 1946, to Paril and Nina (Bruneau) Lattin in Elma, Washington.She grew up in Washington state and graduated high school there.Throughout her life, Becky lived in various cities and most recently moved to Brookings to be with her daughter, Christina Wiggins. Becky was employed at a variety of places throughout her life. The jobs she remembered most affectionately were at a local bank in Portland, Oregon, and later as a stay-at-home mom where she cared for and home school educated her children.Agood book was always at hand, she loved words, and was always proud of her spelling and grammar. Nature filled her life with happiness. Covered bridges, waterfalls, gardens, trees and flowers always made her smile. Everywhere she lived there were always houseplants, usually in full bloom. Bird watching and feeding filled a lot of her time,especially hummingbirds and cardinals which were her favorites. She was a great mother and enjoyed spending time with her family.Beckywill be remembered for her sense of humor and love of life. Survivors include her daughter, Christina Wiggins (fiancé, John Drake) of Brookings, SD; son, Paul Wiggins of Oklahoma; grandchildren, Christopher and Chloe Wiggins of Oklahoma; brother, Robert Lattin (wife, Lillian) of Washington; sister, Beverly Brewer (husband, Bruce Brewer) of Washington; and ex-husband, Richard Wiggins Jr. of Oklahoma.She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Randy Lattin; and sister, Patricia Boyer.
