Myron was born December 1, 1940, in Brookings, South Dakota to Vernon Stanley and Wilhelmina Jeanette (Smidt) Enevoldsen. His first home was in the 200 block of 16th Avenue in Brookings, South Dakota. His last home was also in the 200 block of 16th Avenue before he entered URC. During the intervening years of youth he lived in three Brookings locations, Owatonna, Minnesota, Sioux Falls, Arlington, Hot Springs, Burke, Pickstown, Spearfish and three locations in Custer State Park.

He attended elementary schools in Brookings, Arlington and Hot Springs. His High School years were spent in Hot Springs, Burke and Pickstown where he graduated in 1959. He received a BS Degree in Range Management from South Dakota State in 1963, and an MS degree in Animal Science with a range science emphasis in 1967. He completed coursework for a Ph.D. in 1973.

He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam era, receiving his training in Richmond, Virginia. He spent the majority of his military time at the Atlanta Army Depot in Forest Park, Georgia.

On July 25, 1969 he married Bernadine Blume of Armour, South Dakota, at First Lutheran Church in Brookings. After Myron was discharged from the military he returned to Brookings where they continued to live until the present time.

His career included the Bureau of Land Management in Montana, SDSU Animal Science Department, and the SDSU Department of Horticulture, Forestry, Landscape and Parks. He was also self-employed in home and furniture restoration and land management.
Myron was a member of Pi Alpha Xi, National Consumers League, and National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association. In his later years he turned his efforts to philanthropy. He was an Affiliate Member of the Lifetime Giving Society of the SDSU Foundation, a co-sponsor of the NCL Trumpeter Dinner, and had provided ongoing sponsorship of the Brookings County 4-H Dog Show. He received the 2006 Good Neighbor Award at the Brookings County Achievement Days.

Myron enjoyed every minute of life. He was an avid collector of farm machinery models, car models, truck models, heavy equipment models, buffalo figurines, caps and specialty pens and pencils, coins and stamps. His greatest joy was the volunteer effort he spent with the 4-H program, working with preparing judging classes in horticulture and wood finishing. He judged 4-H horticulture and wood projects in Brookings County and a number of counties in Eastern South Dakota and the South Dakota State Fair. He also judged open class at the South Dakota State Fair. He loved to work with children inspiring them with the wonder and magic of growing plants. He enjoyed caring for his yard, garden and flowers. He also loved art and music.
