Mike Lother, age 59, of Brookings, died Friday, January 24, 2014, at the Neighborhoods at Brookview. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 27, 2014, at the Neighborhoods at Brookview chapel, with interment in the Elkton City Cemetery. Eidsness Funeral Home is in charged of the arrangements. Michael Charles Lother was born August 24, 1954, at Rapid City, South Dakota. He performed janitorial work until becoming disabled. He enjoyed watching football on television. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde A. and Ann A. (Wilkinson) Lother; his grandparents, Paul Wilkinson and Freda (Spaht) Peters; and a friend, Ernest Estenson. His survivors include his caretakers, Carol and Clair Barthel; and friends, Ron and Sue Christie and Jerry Graslie.
