Mike Irwin, age 42, son of Paul and Connie Irwin of Brookings, died unexpectedly of cardiac arrest on Thursday, August 19, 2010, at his home in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Funeral mass will be 12 noon Saturday, August 28, at the Pius the 12th Newman Center on the SDSU campus in Brookings. Visitations will be from 4-7 P.M. Friday at Eidsness Funeral Home in Brookings, with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, memorials will be donated to a charity or a program to enhance music.
