Maxine A. Nass, age 63, of Brookings, died Monday, November 28, 2005, at the Brookings Hospital. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, December 2, 2005, at the First United Methodist Church in Brookings, with interment in First Lutheran Cemetery. Visitations will be from 4-7 p.m. Thursday at Eidsness Funeral Home in Brookings. Maxine Ann (Christianson) Nass was born January 24, 1942, at Webster, South Dakota, to Ralph and Elizabeth (Folk) Christianson. She grew up and attended school at Wilmot, and attended South Dakota State College. On August 1, 1963, she married James Nass at Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri. Following their marriage, Maxine worked at South Dakota State as an accounting clerk for several departments. She retired in 1997. She was a member of the South Dakota State Employees Organization. She enjoyed crocheting and cross-stitch. Survivors include her husband, Jim Nass, of Brookings; a son, Jody Nass, of Brookings; a sister, Janiece Larsen, of Ortonville, MN; and two brothers: Ronald Christianson of Ortonville, and Harlan of Sinai, SD. She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Laurie, in 1988.
