Marlys E. Wulf, age 69, of Estelline, died Friday, May 21, 2010, at ManorCare in Aberdeen, South Dakota. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 26, 2010, at the Preston Township Christian Church, rural Bruce, with interment in Hillcrest Cemetery at Estelline. Visitations will be from 6-8 P.M. Tuesday at Eidsness Funeral Home in Brookings.

Marlys E. (Krogmann) Wulf was born February 10, 1941, to Fritz and Nellie (Stokes) Krogmann at Chester, South Dakota. She grew up in Brookings County and attended District No. 68 country school. She graduated from Volga High School in 1960. She spent 30 years on the farm by Bruce and then moved to Estelline. She worked at the Estelline Nursing Home from 1991 until 1998. From 1998 until 2010 she worked at the Fairfield Inn in Brookings.

Marlys enjoyed reading, gardening, canning, Walt Disney movies, and she especially loved spending time with her three wonderful grandchildren.

Survivors include her children: Ronald (Denise) Wulf of Kulm, North Dakota, Tamara Wulf of Sioux Falls, Tim (Sandy) Wulf of Estelline, and Susan (Ron) Nilles of Sunnyside, Washington; her mother, Nellie Krogmann, of Brookings; a brother, Arlyn Krogmann of Brookings; four sisters: Reva Krogmann of Brookings, Jeanine Krogmann of Omaha, Judi Hewitt of Sioux Falls, and Mariann (Bob) Kampmann of Brookings; three grandchildren: Renae (Derrick) Ost of Kulm, North Dakota, Dallas Wulf of Kulm, and Austin Hays of Sioux Falls. Marlys was preceded in death by her father and her brother Curtis .
