Mark Liebing, 65, of Brookings, passed away on Thursday, November 12, 2020. A private family service will be held on Friday, November 20, 2020, at 10:30 AM at Eidsness Funeral Home. The service will be live-streamed and can be found on the Eidsness Funeral Home Facebook page at the time of the service. Masks are required in the funeral home.

Mark was born May 28, 1955 in Milbank, South Dakota, the son of Orval and Ruth(Braley) Liebing. Mark grew up in Brookings and graduated from Brookings High School in 1972. Mark attended South Dakota State University for a time after this, but moved to Mesa, Arizona with his parents to help with his father who was fighting cancer at the time. After his father's death the family returned to Brookings and Mark finished his degree in Business from SDSU. Mark has worked at Walmart in Brookings since it first opened. Mark was a hard worker and made many friends with his coworkers there.

While working at Walmart, Mark met his wife, Amy, whom he married on September 23, 1995. Since then, Mark has prided himself on taking care of his two daughters, Taylor and Samantha. As his mother's health was failing Mark and his family aided in her caretaking. Mark has always been especially close to his family. He often enjoyed fishing trips with his brothers Dan and Terry. Since his retirement, he was able to spend much more time with his family and doing what he loved.

Mark is survived by his wife, Amy, of Brookings, SD, two daughters: Taylor, of Milbank, SD, and Samantha, of Brookings; his brother Dan Liebing, of Huron, SD; and nieces Lauren and Morgan of Huron, SD, as well as many other extended family members.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents Orval and Ruth Liebing and brother Terry.
