Marilyn Steinback, age 93, passed away on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at the United Living Community in Brookings, SD. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at Eidsness Funeral home in Brookings, SD. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in White, SD. A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Eidsness Funeral Home in Brookings.

Marilyn Steinback was born on July 1, 1932, at her grandmother's house in Brookings, SD, the daughter of Martin and Anna Barbara (Roth) Janssen.

Marilyn received her education in rural school District #34.  After receiving her education, she drove truck for ten years.  She was united in marriage to Marvin Steinback on August 29, 1971.  Marilyn and Marvin ran the Senior dances for several years.  She enjoyed gardening and embroidery, her flowers and spending time with family and friends.
