Lorraine Carolyn Bowman, age 78, of Brookings, passed away at home on December 31, 2019, after a courageous battle with cancer. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, January 11, 2020, at Ford-Wolf-Bruns Funeral Chapel in Coffeyville, KS.  Eidsness Funeral Home is handling local arrangements.

Lorraine was born October 5, 1941, to Herman and Lillian (Novack) Nolte in New York City. She grew up in New York City, where she attended school and graduated from high school.

On January 24, 1994, Lorraine married Larry Bowman in Las Vegas, Nevada. In November of 2014, the couple moved to Brookings, South Dakota, where she resided until the time of her death.

Lorraine was adventurous; enjoying activities such as scuba diving, white water rafting, and trout fishing. She was also an avid reader and enjoyed cooking.

Survivors include her husband, Larry of Brookings; daughter, Marcie (Randy) McBroom of Broken Arrow, OK; son, Scott (Cindy) Weisberg, of Owasso, OK; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and one brother, Richard (Donna) Nolte of New York City. She was preceded in death by her parents; and one son, Robert Weisberg.
