Librada Roque Tricoche, age 102, of Brookings, passed away on Friday September 4, 2020, at home under hospice care. Librada will be buried back home in Puerto Rico. Eidsness Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Librada was born on June 27, 1918, to Pablo and Petra (Tricoche) Roque in San Anton, Ponce Puerto Rico. She was the fifth of seven children. Librada worked as a supervisor in the laundry room of a senior home. She was believer in God.

Librada was famous as a Bomba and Plena Dancer in Puerto Rico and New York. She loved to dance and would dance traditional dances.

Survivors include her nieces and nephews.
