LaVina married Clarence W. LaVina is survived by her two daughters: Sharon (Mark) Stime, of Brookings, and Betty (John) Seidel of Woodbury, MN; four granddaughters: Lisa (Dirk) Norgaard, of Fridley, MN, Lori Stime, of Hayward, CA, Amy Seidel (Mike Coddington), of Minneapolis, MN, and Kari Aase, of Cottage Grove, MN.  She is also survived by nine great-grandsons, eight great-granddaughters, four great-great-granddaughters, two sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence, daughter Carol, grandson Todd Stime, her parents, and five brothers.

At the request of LaVina's family, a private family burial will be held prior to services.  A memorial service will be held at Eidsness Funeral Home in Brookings, beginning at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, July 28, 2018, with visitation being held one hour prior to service.
