Laurie L. Mitrovich 68, of Brookings, South Dakota, went home to Jesus peacefully in her sleep on February 3, 2026.

Laurie was born on October 20, 1957, to Donald L. and Dorthy Anderson in Red Wing, Minnesota.

Goran met the love of her life, Goran, and were married on April 15, 2000. They have a blended family of four children and ten grandchildren.

Laurie worked numerous jobs in her lifetime, including a 27 year stint as a rural letter carrier for the USPS in Monticello, Mn. After retiring from USPS, Laurie and Goran moved to Brookings in March of 2020 where Goran worked at SDSU until his recent retirement. While in Brookings, they attended Grace Point church. Laurie was fond of the ladies Tuesday bible study and the Wednesday nite bible study with Jim and Kysa Gilkerson.

Laurie is survived by her brothers Dan Anderson, Tim Anderson, John Anderson and sister Terry Buck.

Laurie was predeceased by her parents Don L. and Dorthy Anderson. No funeral services will be held in South Dakota. A memorial service will be planned for April near Canon Falls, MN.
