Kristi Noel Eickhoff, age 42, of Lake Benton, MN, passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at the Avera Medical Center in Tyler, MN, after a courageous battle with cancer.  Visitation will be from 4-7 P.M. on Tuesday July 9, 2024, at GracePoint Wesleyan Church in Brookings, SD.  Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, July 10th also at GracePoint with burial to follow at Diamond Lake Cemetery, rural Lake Benton, MN.  A luncheon will follow the committal service at the Lake Benton Community Center.  Eidsness Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Kristi Noel Kjergaard was born on December 17, 1981, to Steven and Cheryl (Kuhn) Kjergaard in Hendricks, MN.  She grew up in rural Lake Benton, MN, and attended school in Lake Benton.  She graduated High School in 2000.  After high school, Kristi attended and graduated from Mankato State University in 2004.  After graduation, Kristi taught 3rd grade in Hendricks, MN before changing careers.  She then worked for Schwan's Company, First Security Bank in Hendricks, and lastly for Petersen Law as a paralegal until June of 2023.

Kristi married Mathew Eickhoff on October 10, 2009, in Marshall, MN.  The couple was blessed with two boys, Brody and Grady.  Her two sons meant everything to her.  She loved spending as much time with them as possible.  Kristi will be remembered for her love of shopping, including her extensive shoe collection.  She loved living on Lake Benton and spending time with the girls out golfing or bowling. Kristi was a member of GracePoint Wesleyan Church in Brookings.

Survivors include her husband, Mathew; sons, Brody and Grady; her father, Steven Kjergaard; siblings, Lance (April) Kjergaard and Cody (Andrea) Kjergaard; Sister-in-law, Emilie (Jeremy) Prange; nieces and Nephews: Drake & Bailey Kjergaard, and Ryliegh, Adelynn, and Emma Prange; father and mother-in-law, Don & Jean Eickhoff as well as many other family and friends.  She was preceded in death by her mom, Cheryl Kjergaard; and her grandparents Einer and Edna Kjergaard and Bob Kuhn and Phyllis Kuhn.
