Keith A. Kinner, age 56, of Elkton, died Thursday, May 19, 2011, at his home near Lake Benton, Minnesota, of natural causes. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 23, 2011, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Lake Benton. Visitations will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at St. John's Lutheran Church with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Keith A. Kinner was born February 18, 1955, at Lake Benton, Minnesota, to Kenneth and Doreen (Cyriacks) Kinner . He attended school in Lake Benton and graduated from high school in 1973. Following graduation, he joined the Air Force Security Service under the direction of the National Security Agency and moved to San Antonio, Texas. On December 8, 1973, he married Debbie Johnson in Holland, Minnesota. Immediately thereafter, they moved to Italy where Keith served for two and a half years until returning to San Antonio, Texas, to finish his active service. Upon returning to Minnesota, he attended Southwest Minnesota State University where he earned his accounting degree. He worked as an accountant in Mankato, Minnesota, and became a Certified Public Accountant in 1979. He returned to the Lake Benton/Elkton area in 1981 and began his accounting practice, Kinner & Company, LTD. Over the years he expanded the business to eight offices in the area. Keith lived a joyous life with no regrets. He loved God, his family, and his community. He was a member of multiple Kiwanis and Rotary clubs and various professional organizations. Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Debbie; son Chris (Page) of Edina, Minnesota, daughter Nicki (Aaron) Holmen of Denver, Colorado, son Nathan (Lynae) of Bloomington, Minnesota, daughter Kelsey; two grandchildren, Adam and Marie; brother Lyle (Kim) of Elkton; sister Helen (Don) Drietz of Lake Benton; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Leonard and Vida Johnson, of Lake Benton and Pat Kocer of Pickstown, South Dakota. He was preceded in death by his parents, Doreen and Kenneth, and an infant sister, Elise.
