Julie Ann Stoll, 65, of Brookings, SD, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home Friday, August 15, 2025. A public viewing will be held at Eidsness Funeral Home from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm on Monday, August 25, 2025, in Brookings, SD. The Interment Service will follow at 12:30 pm out to Fairlawn Cemetery in Aurora, South Dakota.

Julie was born February 4th, 1960 to Harold and Mary Lou (Hof) Hines in Madison, SD. She is the second oldest of five children. She attended school in various towns, most notably Madison and Lake Preston.

Julie had two children; Kelli (Nelson) Brown and Jennifer (Nelson) Kierstead. After moving to Brookings, Julie married Duane (Dewey) Stoll.

Julie is remembered for her wild story-telling, her love for Janis Joplin, and warm, yet feisty demeanor. She enjoyed baking, being involved in her church, and spending time with her many loved ones. Julie loved being a mother and grandmother, as well as being an amazing friend to many.

Julie is survived by her two siblings, Lisa Sween and Laurie Honken; her husband, Duane (Dewey) Stoll; her two children, Kelli (Nelson) Brown and Jennifer (Nelson) Kierstead; her seven grandchildren, Kayly Tubb, Kaytlyn Hawley, Danielle Hawley, David Hawley, Asia Nelson, Hailey Kierstead, and Zach Kierstead; her two great-grandchildren, Carter and Zyla Nelson; her two son-in-laws, Jeffrey (Kelli) Brown and Sheldon (Jennifer) Kierstead; her brother-in-law, Ron White (Lisa Sween); and her two step-grandchildren, Eli and Aubrey Brown. She is preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Mary Lou (Hof) Hines; her uncle, Bill Hof, her foster parents; Ed and Dianna Moeller; and her two siblings, Valerie (Hines) Pike and Eddie Birzer.

Julie Ann Stoll made an impression and left a mark on everybody she crossed paths with. She will be missed and remembered dearly by many.
