Obituary
Dr. John Kitterman, dearly loved and retired physics professor at South Dakota State University, died at the Arlington Care Center on Saturday, June 23, 2018, at the age of 80. A graveside memorial service is planned for 9:00 a.m. on Friday, June 29, 2018, at Greenwood Cemetery in Brookings, South Dakota.
John Kitterman was born on July 2, 1937, in Des Moines, Iowa. He received his PhD in Physics from Colorado State University. John enjoyed his work, and throughout his life contributed to several research studies.
John is survived by his children: Karen A. Moore, of Cincinnati, OH, Julie J. Kitterman, of Kansas City, KS, and John W. Kitterman, of Sinai, SD; 9 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Dee E. (Toothaker) Kitterman, and his daughter, Kirsten M. Kitterman.
