John Hillerud, age 86, of White, died Thursday, February 14, 2008, at the White Healthcare Center. A committal service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, February 19, 2008, at Fairview Cemetery in White, followed by a memorial service at 10:30 A.M. at the White Healthcare Center. John Hillerud was born May 24, 1921, at Brookings, South Dakota, to Julius and Olga (Carlson) Hillerud. He attended country school and was employed as a farmhand in the area. He had resided at the White Healthcare Center since September 1995. Survivors include two sisters: Inga Bolte, of Luverne, Minnesota, and Ollie Allstot, of Oregon; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and several brothers and sisters.
