Jessyca Rogers, age 24, of Brookings, died Friday, May 3, 2013, in an automobile accident near Brookings. Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 11, 2013, at Eidsness Funeral Home in Brookings. Jessyca Lynn Rogers was born at home in Omaha, Nebraska, on January 1, 1989, which made her special and in the local news as the first New Year's baby born at home. Her parents were Mark and Kimberly (Baker) Rogers. As Jessyca grew up she was an outgoing and fun-loving spirit. She was a recognized student at Belvedere Elementary School, and she attended South High School in Omaha. For the past five years she was a resident of Brookings, where she worked at Casey's General Store. Jessyca will be loved and missed by all. Survivors include her siblings, Marcus, Matthew, and Michael Rogers, and a niece, Mariah Rogers.
