Jesse DeBoer, age 28, of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, formerly of Brookings, died Sunday, April 14, 2013, in Brooklyn Park. Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M. Saturday, April 20, 2013, at Eidsness-Zink Funeral Chapel in Elkton, with interment in Fairlawn Cemetery at Aurora, South Dakota. Jesse Ray DeBoer was born October 19, 1984, at Billings, Montana, to Marlin and Joyce (Gries) DeBoer. He attended Medary Elementary School and Mickelson Middle School in Brookings. In 2003 he graduated from Champlin Park High School in Champlin, Minnesota. He worked for several years for Wells Fargo Bank in Lakeview, Minnesota. Jesse enjoyed fishing and trap shooting and loved spending time with his grandparents in Elkton and Aurora. Survivors include his mother and step-dad, Joyce DeBoer and Keith Risch, of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota; father and step-mother, Marlin "Marty" DeBoer and Rennie DeBoer, of Mitchell, South Dakota; a brother, Jarrid (Mandy) DeBoer, of Mitchell; step-brothers and sisters: Jai (Kalli) Mimmack of Mitchell, Kira (Chris) Tronnes of Mitchell, Damon (Brea) Risch of Blaine, Minnesota, and Shannon (Nick Bakken) Risch of Coon Rapids, Minnesota; three grandmothers: Lorraine Gries of Elkton, Mavis DeBoer of Brookings, and Edna Schrank of Mitchell; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. He was preceded in death by three grandfathers: Don Schrank, Don DeBoer, and Herb Gries.
