Jerry G. Teske, age 58, of Brookings, died Saturday, August 18, 2007, at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M. Thursday, August 23, 2007, at First Lutheran Church in Volga, with interment and military rites in the church cemetery. Visitations will be from 5-8 P.M. Wednesday at Eidsness Funeral Chapel in Volga. Jerry George Teske was born September 30, 1948, at Eureka, South Dakota, to Arthur and Violet (Loebs) Teske. He graduated from Aberdeen Central High School in 1966, and then served in the U.S. Air Force from 1966 until 1974. He was married to Doris Mae Flanigan for 18 years. He worked as a truck driver and as a heating and air conditioning serviceman, most recently for Langland Home Center in Brookings, since 1999. Jerry was a member of First Lutheran Church in Volga. He enjoyed bowling, watching NASCAR, and spending time with his granddaughter, Hailey Jo. Survivors include his three children: Brock (Crystal) Teske of Colton, South Dakota, Cassandra Teske of Brookings, and Quentin (Tammy) Teske of Grand Island, Nebraska; a granddaughter, Hailey Jo; three step-grandchildren; and six siblings: Della (Les) Dutenhoffer of Ipswich, South Dakota, Fred (Corliss) Klungseth of Omaha, Nebraska, Gary (Nancy) Klungseth of Aberdeen, South Dakota, Donnie (Diane) Klungseth of Aberdeen, Jim Clayton of Aberdeen, and Peggy Clayton of Aberdeen.
