Jeffrey P. Mihalko, age 53, died Thursday, December 22, 2011, at his home near Elkton, South Dakota. Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, December 27, 2011, at Eidsness-Zink Funeral Chapel in Elkton, with interment in the Elkton City Cemetery. Jeffrey Peter Mihalko was born October 14, 1958, at Orange, New Jersey, to Charles Joseph and Alice Frances (Weir) Mihalko. He was an Eagle Scout, graduated from Livingston High School, and then served in the U.S. Army. On July 23, 1983, he married Joan Brendtro at Lennox, South Dakota. Jeff attended Dakota State University and South Dakota State University in criminal and sociology studies. Jeff attended Prairie Winds Baptist Church at Elkton, and he loved witnessing for the Lord. He enjoyed anything outsidehiking, boating, climbing, cutting wood, and gardening, and weight lifting. Survivors include his wife, Joan; three sons: Joseph, Michael, and Andrew; and a brother, Chuck. He was preceded in death by his parents.
