Jason Michael Kidwiler, age 48, passed away at his home in Sioux Falls, SD on August 25, 2021.  Visitation will be from 4-7pm on Monday, August 30, 2021 at Ascension Lutheran Church in Brookings, SD.  A private, family memorial service will be held with interment at Fairview Cemetery in White, SD.  The memorial service will be recorded and uploaded to Jason's obituary at www.eidsnessfuneralhome.com by Tuesday afternoon.

Jason was born on October 26, 1972, to Mary and Mike Kidwiler in Brookings, South Dakota.  He grew up in White, SD and attended Deubrook Area Schools for elementary and high school.  Jason participated in Scouts attaining Webelos level and was a member of the White Hustlers 4-H club.  He attended Pipestone Vocational Technical School graduating with a degree in Culinary Arts.

He had been employed at the Elks Club in Brookings, Jake's and Silverado Casino in Deadwood, Ramkota, CJ Callaways, The Other Place and Tre' Lounge in Sioux Falls.  He was currently employed at Trail Ridge Senior Living Community in Sioux Falls where he was affectionally known as "Gramps".

Jason enjoyed fishing, hunting, cooking and spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include his mother, Mary Kidwiler (Special Friend Roger Bush) of Brookings, SD, his sister and brother-in-law Jennifer and Craig Olson and 2 nephews, Nicholas and Ethan Olson of White, SD.  He was preceded in death by his father, Mike Kidwiler and grandparents Willis and Loraine Meisenhelder and Stan and Helen Kidwiler.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to Brookings Area United Way, Fairview Cemetery, Deubrook Backpack Program, Brookings County Youth Mentoring or a charity of your choice.
