Janet V. Lambertus, age 62, of White, died Monday, March 22, 2004, at Brookview Manor in Brookings, South Dakota. Graveside services will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, March 23, at Fairview Cemetery in White. Janet Violet (Possail) Lambertus was born January 17, 1942, at Tyler, Minnesota, to Fred and Violet (Sparks) Possail. She lived with her family for a year at Russell, Minnesota, three years near Ivanhoe, and then on the farm near Arco, Minnesota. She attended country school and graduated from high school in Tyler. She attended technical school in Minneapolis for six months. She worked in nursing homes in Tyler and Ivanhoe, and was an aid and cook at the White Healthcare Center. She worked as a dining room hostess in Flandreau for a couple of years. On June 1, 1968, Janet married H. Wayne Lambertus at Arco, Minnesota. She was a member of Zion Ev. Lutheran Church, and she enjoyed reading. Survivors include her husband, Wayne, of White; a daughter, Susannah (Eric) Elverud of Brookings; a son, Andrew Lambertus, of White; two grandchildren, Sadie and Shane Elverud; and a brother, Jerald (Barbara) Possail, of Arco, Minnesota. She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant sister.
