Jane Nelson Funeral Service

Jane Nelson, 64, of Volga, South Dakota, passed away on Friday, June 19, 2020, at the Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Falls.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2020, at GracePoint Wesleyan Church in Brookings, beginning at 10:00 A.M.  Burial will immediately follow the service at First Lutheran Cemetery in Volga.  A time of visitation will be held from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at GracePoint Wesleyan Church.  Eidsness Funeral Home is assisting Jane's family with arrangements.

Jane Michele Nelson was born on December 15, 1955, in Volga, South Dakota, the daughter of Dale and Avis (Dybdahl) Nelson.

Jane received her education in Volga and was a graduate of the Sioux Valley High School in Volga.  She continued her education at Stewarts School of Hair Styling.  After receiving her education she worked in her own shop, and also Coast to Coast Warehouse, the Valley Restaurant, and later at the SDSU print lab as a bookkeeper, retiring in January of 2020, after 20 years of service.  Jane is a 24 year liver transplant survivor.

Jane is a member of GracePoint Wesleyan Church.  Her hobbies included flower arranging, Christmas decorations, reading, working on crafts, and wedding decorations.

Jane is survived by her brother: David (Lynette) Nelson, Jon (Linda) Nelson, Tim (Nancy) Nelson; sisters: Deb Koch and Terri (Jim) Van Erem; nieces and nephews: Chrstine Kreutner, Erin Nelson, Nicole Herrig, Jodi Cogle, Haley Van Erem, Jared Nelson, Alyssa Lillie, and Amber Nelson; 8 great nieces and nephews; and special friends LaRee Grebner, and Clarence and LaVonne Grebner, Lloyce and April Grebner, Kloey Kramer, and Peggy Parker.

She is preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Tony; and a brother-in-law, Gene Koch.
