James Daniel Graham, age 57, of Brookings, SD, passed away on Friday, November 21, 2025, at the Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD. A Visitation will take place from 10:00 am to 11:30 am with a time of sharing stories starting at 11:30 am on Friday, November 28, 2025, at Eidsness Funeral Home in Brookings, SD.

James "Jamie" Daniel Graham was born in Iowa on June 29, 1968, the son of David Graham and Virginia "Ginger" (Walker) Metz. He grew up in Iowa, Huntsville, Texas and in New York before achieving his G.E.D. James moved forward attending body school for vehicles. He worked at GCC Ready mix, as a truck mechanic, for 12 years.

James enjoyed driving his hot rod (Dodge Challenger), building model cars and motorcycles (anything with an engine). He also enjoyed training birds, anything in falconry. To accompany the cars, James enjoyed sitting in the car and listening to music. He enjoyed relaxing, watching TV with his wife, spending time with the dogs.

James was a character, often outspoken and a goofball. He was also a role model, being dependable, giving, trustworthy and protective of family. James will be missed dearly.

James is survived by his wife of 13 years, Peggy; his children, Aaliyah, Angel, Chris, Jamone, Jose, Byroneka, James Jr, and Tanisha; his grandson, Jadyen; father, David and siblings, Lee and Layne.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ginger.
