Jacquelin D. Dahl, age 79, of Brookings, died Tuesday, April 19, 2011, at the Brookings Hospital. Memorial services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, April 22, 2011, at Morningside Community Church in Brookings. Jacquelin Diane (Mullin) Dahl was born January 10, 1932, at Indianapolis, Indiana, to Walter M. and Maurine M. (Heckman) Mullin. She grew up in Indianapolis and graduated from Howe High School in 1948. On April 27, 1951, she married Merlyn M. Dahl at Indianapolis. The family moved to Brookings in 1963, where Jackie worked as a staff assistant in the SDSU Pharmacy Department from 1967 until 1989. Mike died in 1997. Jackie was a member of Morningside Community Church and the Women of the Church of God. She served as a hospice volunteer and was a member of the Brookings Hospital Auxiliary. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, doing crafts, and shopping at Wal-Mart. Survivors include her four daughters: Cathy (David) Helfinstine of Willmar, Minnesota, Rebecca Estenson of Brookings, Laurie (Jim) Foerster of Brookings, and Tami Dahl of Brookings; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren: and a sister-in-law, Maxine Jones and her family of Beresford. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
