Gloria D. Rossow, age 81, formerly of Brookings, died Friday, 22 December 2012, after a long illness. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM on Thursday, 27 December 2012 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Brookings, South Dakota, with interment in First Lutheran Cemetery, Brookings. Visitation will precede the service at 10:00 a.m. at the church. Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association (http://www.alz.org) or Our Savior Lutheran Church of Brookings SD. Gloria Dean Rossow nee Holley was born March 14, 1931, in Omaha, Nebraska to Harry O. and Mabel (Houge) Holley. She grew up in Omaha and later moved to Ft. Dodge, Iowa where she graduated from high school and went on to graduate from Iowa State Teacher's College in Cedar Falls. Gloria married Harold H. Rossow, also of Ft. Dodge, on Feb. 18, 1951. After moving to Brookings in 1967, she worked in retail sales and as an accountant/office manager for Northwestern Public Service. She was an active member of her church. Gloria moved to Rochester, MN in 2008. Gloria is survived by her five children, Harold C. Rossow, Brookings; Kathleen (Robert) Lytle, Rochester, MN; Cynthia (Bill) Jongeling, Jonesville, MI; Kristine (Ken) Fiscus, Minneapolis MN; and Kurt D. Rossow, St. Paul, MN; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, as well as her two brothers, Clark Holley and James Holley and a sister Inez Holley Clapham. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Harold, on May 1, 1977.
