Gerald "Jerry" Thompson, age 67, of Fridley, Minnesota, formerly of Brookings and White, died Wednesday, June 10, 2009, in Minneapolis. He is survived by his wife Linda (nee Barnard); children, Korry, Kalvin (Melissa) and Kirk (Angela); six grandchildren; mother, Betty Thompson, of Brookings; and brother, David (Rose) Thompson, of Brookings. He was preceded in death by his father, Manfred, brother Donald, and also his grandparents.Memorials are preferred. Visitation will be Friday from 5-8 p.m. with a Legion and 40/8 service at 8 p.m. at Washburn McReavy Coon Rapids Chapel, 1827 Coon Rapids Blvd. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 13, at Eidsness Funeral Home in Brookings, with interment at Pioneer Lutheran Cemetery, White.
