Gary William Schrudder, 64, of Volga, South Dakota, passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on Wednesday, March 19, 2025.

Gary was born on July 9, 1960, in Camp Pendleton, Oceanside, California, to Jack and Mary (Morgan) Schrudder. He was raised in Vista, California, and graduated from Alta Vista High School in 1977.

Gary worked at various jobs throughout his adult life including as an alarm technician for ADT. He was an avid outdoorsman, hunter, fisherman, and ATV enthusiast. Gary is survived by his wife, Corky Schrudder of Endwell, NY; his daughter Danielle Schrudder of Las Vegas, Nevada (predeceased by her mother, Millie); his daughter, Holly Torres of East Tennessee and her mother, Lisa Vinton; his long-time, loving companion Tina Lapolla, her son Jon and daughter Amy of Volga, South Dakota; his sister Mary Anne Weston (Pat) of Nunda, South Dakota; his brother Eddie Schrudder (Pauline) of Las Vegas, Nevada; his sister Linda Holland (Phil) of Pollocksville, North Carolina; his niece Elizabeth Miller of Brookings, South Dakota; his nephew Seth Weston, of Nunda, South Dakota, other nieces and nephews and many friends.

Gary is preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Mary Schrudder.
