Fay Hassler, age 74, of Bruce, South Dakota, went home to heaven at the Methodist Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota on Monday, May 23, 2005. Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M., Friday, May 27, at Grace Lutheran Church in Bruce, South Dakota, with interment at 2:30 P.M. in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Visitations will be at Eidsness Funeral Home in Brookings from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. on Thursday. Fay Hassler was born December 16, 1930 to William and Mable (Morrison) Wilson in Donnywood, North Dakota. She grew up and attended schools in Donnywood. Fay married Carroll E. Hassler on October 3, 1950 in Underwood, North Dakota. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who dedicated her life to her family. Grateful for having shared her life are her husband, Carroll of Bruce, South Dakota; two daughters, Belinda Hassler and Wendy Giebink, both of Sioux Falls; grandchildren: Jesse Hassler, Sarah Fugleberg, Erin Giebink, and Skye Giebink; a great-granddaughter, Alaina Fugleberg; sisters: Helen Graff of Minot, North Dakota, Lois Wilson of Portland, Oregon, Ethel (Lawrence) Schuschke of Havre, Montana, and Betty (Arthur) Hansen of Farmington, New Mexico; and two brothers, Robert Wilson of St. Louis, Missouri and Donald Wilson of Houston, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Ellen and Marjory; a brother, Joseph; and her infant son, Tracy Eugene.
